Stone splashbacks in Mandurah.
One clean sheet of stone instead of a wall of grout lines. A full-height splashback that matches your benchtop, wipes clean in seconds and gives a Mandurah kitchen that seamless, modern finish. Engineered stone, porcelain or natural stone, templated to your wall and installed on the finished bench.
Why homeowners are dropping tiles.
For years the tiled splashback was the default. More and more Mandurah kitchens are now going to a single stone splashback instead, and once you have lived with one it is easy to see why: there is no grout to scrub, no grout to discolour over a humid Peel summer, and nothing to catch grease behind the cooktop. You wipe it like the benchtop and walk away. When the splashback is cut from the same slab as the bench, the result is a seamless wall-to-bench finish that lifts the whole room.
Matching or contrasting.
The most popular choice is a splashback that matches the benchtop slab for a continuous look, which works beautifully with the marble-look engineered stone ranges. Some homeowners go the other way, with a bold contrasting feature splashback behind the cooktop. We show you both directions at the measure with the actual colours available.
Behind the cooktop.
A stone splashback can sit behind a gas or induction cooktop provided the installation clearances are met. For a high-output gas burner, porcelain is the most heat-stable choice, and we confirm the required clearance to the burners at the template stage rather than guessing. Power points, window returns and rangehood cut-outs are all templated to the real wall so everything lines up.
How it is installed.
We template the splashback at the same visit as the benchtop, then usually fit it as a second step once the bench is set and level, so it lands perfectly on the finished surface. Costs sit around $350 to $900 per square metre, with full detail on the pricing guide and material help in the how to choose a benchtop guide.
